Three scientists from the Perimeter Institute submitted a new idea for this, what could be the catalyst for the big explosion. From within their perspective, that, which we call the big explosion, could be a 3D „mirage“ of a reducing star in another Universe, which is significantly different from ours.
The conventional view is that the big explosion was started by the singularity – an infinitely tightly and hot state of space-time, where the standard laws of physics do not act.
The problem, according to the authors, is that the theory about the big explosion implies that our relatively clear, standard and predictable Universe was born from a singularity, which is being denied by the laws of physics. It sounds unreal.
So, they say, that there is something else. May be our Universe has never been singular.
