The indian preme-minister Narendra Modi issued a new bill according to it the officials will be required to use Hindi.
Modi ordered all government officials and employees in all departments and corporations who write about events in the social networks and blogs like Twitter, Facebook, Google, YouTube, to use Hindi or at least a mixture of Hindi and English, giving preference to the language of their ancestors. According to the document, government employees who communicate in Hindi, will receive monetary compensation from 2000 rupees per day ($ 33).
Such a move rase debates in the political circles in India where people speak more than 100 different languages. Currently Hindi are speaking 40% of people in the country. The government explained later that the law will affect only the northern areas where the language is used actively.
